On Monday the Chicago Blackhawks announced the team will return to Milwaukee, Wis. for another “Home Away From Home” preseason game at Fiserv Forum against the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. Tickets for the matchup will go on sale this Friday, July 12 at 10 a.m.
Prior to the puck drop, Fiserv Forum's entertainment plaza and Deer District will host pre-game celebrations for fans, which will include Blackhawks celebrity appearances, live music, photo opportunities and more.
Prior to Chicago’s inaugural ‘Home Away From Home’ preseason game in 2022, where the team took on the Minnesota Wild at Fiserv Forum, the Blackhawks had not played in Milwaukee since Dec. 1, 1992 against the Los Angeles Kings.
While there already is professional hockey in Milwaukee, with the AHLs Milwaukee Admirals. Does having another ‘Home Away From Home’ preseason game mean this more push from the NHL and/or Blackhawks trying to reach for more fans of Chicago or possibly have an expansion team in Milwaukee?
Personally I love the idea of a expansion team in Milwaukee for another great rivalry for the Blackhawks. And I have a reason to go over state lines for pull tabs, cheese and Miller Lite.
