NASHVILLE--Days after signing 2023 first-round pick Matthew Wood to an entry-level contract, the Predators have inked their second extension of the year.

Barry Trotz announced goaltender Magnus Chrona inked a one-year, two-way extension with the Nashville Predators, through the 2025-2026 season.

Chrona has backstopped the Milwaukee Admirals, Nashville's AHL affiliate this season. Appearing in 29 games for the Admirals, Chrona has gone 11-11-5, with a .901 SV%, and 2.87 GAA.

Chrona, alongside goaltender Matt Muray, has propelled Milwaukee to clinch a spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs, starting at the end of April.

The signing is seen as a depth piece for the Predators, securing the fourth goaltending spot in the Predators organization.

Currently behind Matt Murray, Justus Annunen, and Juuse Saros.
