NASHVILLE--The Four Nations Faceoff marks the first chance players in the NHL will get to play for their representative countries since the 2017 World Cup of Hockey.
Nashville's own Filip Forsberg, Gustav Nyquist, and Juuse Saros will play in the tournament starting on Wednesday February 12th as Canada plays Sweden at Bell Centre (8 p.m. ET; TNT, MAX, truTV, SN, TVAS) and the United States facing Finland on Thursday (8 p.m. ET; ABC, ESPN+, SN, TVAS).
It won't be the first time the trio of Predators players will face off internationally.
Forsberg and Nyquist represented Sweden at the World Cup of Hockey in 2017. Forsberg registered three points in four games, while Nyquist posted five points in nine games.
"Just having best-on-best back again, and being able to represent Sweden at the highest level of competition, is something that I certainly haven't been able to take for granted in my time here,” Forsberg said. “So, it's going to be a lot of fun to compete with my fellow countrymen.”

“I’m just excited to get together with that group of guys,” Saros said of joining Team Finland. “Most of us know each other from playing together at some point, or training together in the summers or stuff like that. But I’m really looking forward to it.”
Forsberg was asked about how Team Sweden plans to solve goaltender Juuse Saros.
"We have ideas, but it's probably best not to take it to the media. He's (Saros) good at Swedish, so we have to withhold that information", said Filip with a smile.
Juuse Saros joins former Predators' backup, Kevin Lankinen, on team Finland. It's Saros's second appearance at the world stage. He last played in the 2016 WCH, posting two shutouts in two games.
