BOSTON--Today, the Chicago Blackhawks announced an agreement to terms with forward Landon Slaggert. The two-year, one-way contract extension runs through the 2026-2027 season, worth $900,000.

Slaggert, 22, was drafted 79th overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Before he arrived in Chicago, the South Bend IN native played four seasons of NCAA College Hockey with Notre Dame, posting 47 goals, and 45 assists for 92 points in 136 games played.

Following his senior season with Notre Dame where he was named alternate captain where he had 31 points in 36 games, he earned the tail end of the season with Chicago.

In his time with the Blackhawks, he played in his first 16 NHL games, where he earned his first goal, and three assists for four points in the span.

This season, Chicago's development staff have decided to let Slaggert continue to grow with the Rockford IceHogs (AHL affiliate), joining such prospects as Kevin Korchinski, and Frank Nazar.

In his IceHogs debut last season, Slaggert earned one assist against Grand Rapids.
